Taking it to the streets

Eloise was eager to try a "warm up" run with the Snuggie and what better place than in the arctic-like setting of the yert!

But who would be the first to don the Snuggie in public? It happened just two days after Christmas, when our stylish group arrived at the swank Market Street Grill after a night in the wild. Emboldened by the fact that it was her birthday, Kitten took the plunge.

And just days later, the Snuggie traveled to Idaho and was seen hard at work in the office.

History Part 2: Warming up to the Challenge

Before the Snuggie could go on the road, Hailey decided to bond with it.

Where it all began

Before we get too far into the travel log, let's remember when it all started. Christmas day, the Buck-Mengee family gathered for the much-anticipated gift opening ritual. Imagine Hailey's delight when she ripped off the festive wrapping paper to find--A SNUGGIE!!
In no time, the creative Buck-Mengee group saw the true potential for this gift- a reason to communicate, a challenge to be the most creative, and an opportunity for public humiliation! The plan was in motion before we finished the full box of See's candies!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Part Deux

Seattle just opened up the light rail from the airport to downtown....I'm quite certain I was the first person EVER to sport the Snuggie on the light rail.

And, finally, in the cab, I slipped on my Snuggie. Who knew Seattle would be soooooo frigid!?!?

All in all, before this trip, I was what you might call a "Snuggie Skeptic." However, no more!! I'm a firm believer in the power of the Snuggie and proud to say I'm a major fan!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Ok, I'll get this started!!! As you might know, the Snuggie really can go ANYWHERE and is the traveler's best friend. This was verified yesterday on my trip from Pocatello to Seattle. This trip also taught me that two Snuggies are always better than one.

First, I (as well as my roomie and fellow traveler, Erin) sported my Snuggie while waiting to board. The man I asked to take our photo was so impressed with the Snuggie look that he didn't even take the pictures the first time and I had to ask him again.

Once we landed in Boise, we had three hours to kill, so we went to the bar. Airport bars can be quite chilly...thank God, I had my Snuggie. The TSA man got a kick out of too.

Honestly, who hasn't saddled up to the bar while wearing a large fleece getup?

On our second leg of the trip!!! This guy informed us that he was also on our flight into Idaho Falls. I informed him that Santa was generous this year...hence our new attire.
